This is our first official day of full timing!!! We arrived last night at our friends’ house. The Owens were very gracious and allowed us to park our Bighorn camper on their property for the past week while we moved out of our house and tied up many loose ends prior to our departure. On the morning that we departed, the Owens even got up early and fed us a wonderful breakfast! So blessed!
We made our way to the RV 007 dealership in Danville, VA, where we had purchased the camper, so that they could make a few minor repairs to the unit. By 1:00 PM we were on our way to Jordan Lake, located southeast of Chapel Hill, where we would stay for the next five days. Our nephew was getting married in the Raleigh area and we wanted to celebrate with him! Also, our daughter lives in the Chapel Hill area and we wanted to spend some time with her before we headed west.
When we arrived at Parker’s Creek campground, it was a beautiful, sunny day. We got set up and met some of the other campers who informed us that we had reserved the best campsite in the campground! I have to agree, because the view of the lake was lovely!
We drove into Chapel Hill and had a nice dinner with our daughter! It’s always good to be able to spend time with family! We made our way back to Jordan Lake and turned in for the night.
