Farewell Florida

We have been told that there is a rule in Florida that the snowbirds have to leave immediately after Easter. Rule or not, we have headed north as well to eventually make our way to Oregon.

You cannot depart without thinking about some of the visual images that Florida leaves with you. The state is a beautiful place and has wonderful beaches, parks, and other attractions. Staying in one area for an extended stay allows you to venture out to some of the places and take your time to savor them.

Here are some of our favorites from the last few weeks:

Honeymoon Island
EG Simmons Park
Downtown Tampa at sunrise with Amalie Arena, where the Lightning hockey team plays, in the background.
Cockroach Bay
Sunken Gardens

The Skyway Bridge

Redington Beach

Some of our other Florida piddlinaround adventures…

Venice of the South

Solomon’s Castle

The Greatest Show on Earth

Bok Tower Gardens

St. Augustine

Thanks for joining us as we are piddlinaround the country.
