David noted the other day that we had driven over 3,000 miles since we left Virginia. Whew! That’s a lot of miles! We decided that we needed a few zero mile days before we head west again. So yesterday and today we have stayed at the campground and got some work done.
We did some Piddlin’ around. We got our blog started, worked on writing the entries, and added photos to the posts. Many thanks to our daughter, Ashley, for scouting out some blog sites and doing some mock ups for us!
Last night, we saw another captivating sunset. There were thunderstorms in the area and we could see lightning strikes around us but we could also see the sunset. It was a unique sight!

We have enjoyed our time in the Black Hills area of South Dakota. We hope to come back to visit again since there is so much to see and do here!
Temperatures are rising here; they are predicting 100 degrees by Wednesday. It’s time to move to higher, hopefully cooler, ground!
For now, we’ll say farewell to South Dakota and our great hosts at Southern Hills RV Park and Campground!
Tomorrow we are heading to Cody, Wyoming.
Thank you so much for creating this and letting all of us share your adventure. I love the title “Piddlin’ Around.” How wonderful to greet each day on your own schedule.
